Gelatin capsules
Hard, tough shells with fast gastric disintegration. The standard choice for powders and pellets; lowest cost per capsule.
Sizes 000–5HPMC plant capsules
Plant-derived, low moisture (4–6%). Suited to hygroscopic and water-sensitive fillings, and to vegetarian or halal-conscious markets.
Vegan-friendlyEnteric capsules
Insoluble in gastric acid, releasing in the intestine. For acid-labile drugs, enzymes and probiotic blends.
Targeted releasePullulan capsules
Microbial-fermentation shell with low oxygen transmission. For oxidation-sensitive actives that need a clean label.
Low O₂ transmissionShell material changes what fits inside: HPMC holds roughly 6% less by weight than gelatin in the same size, and gelatin loses water into hygroscopic powders. Confirm the material before fixing a fill weight.
